Our customer based in Copenhagen, Denmark required a web based Business Intelligence Application - BI Tool. Most companies collect a large amount of data from their business operations. To keep track of that information, a business would need to use a wide range of software programs, such as Excel, Access and different database applications for various departments throughout their organization. Using multiple software programs makes it difficult to retrieve information in a timely manner and to perform analysis of the data. This created need of a single interface for fetching, analyzing and presenting the data in graphical format to make organization wide decisions.

Customer required a BI Tool which illustrates business intelligence in the areas of customer profiling, customer support, market research, market segmentation, product profitability, statistical analysis, and inventory and distribution analysis.

Key challenges of the project were:

• Fetch details from the third party ERP which can be using different databases in SQL Server and make it compatible with BI application.
• Process, analyze and view the data in more meaningful way using different graphical representation like Pie chart, Bar chart, Gauge chart, Spread sheets etc.
• Facilitate real time updating of new version of application through web interface.
• Provide dictionary and language translation facility in 7 languages.
• Manage Email Templates and SMS services based on different alerts.

BI Tools helped decision makers to analyze company wise data in more meaningful way and take appropriate quick decision. It allowed customers to develop reports from multiple system while managing permissions on data access based on user role.
